Our Story

It all began at San Onofre on a beautiful, endless summer day. Our paths crossed through mutual friends and a shared love for the ocean. Sometimes we would pass each other walking on the sand and other times we would find ourselves in the water, chasing the same waves.

As the sun would set on the horizon, Chad would always gather family and friends for a beachside barbecue. One day he asked Alexandra to join. We would eat good food, stand around the fire, and share stories from our surf sessions.

What started as a shared love for surfing, the beach, and those long summer days soon became something more. We began surfing together more often, spending countless hours in the water and getting to know each other beyond the waves. We started dating in the summer of 2024.

Life was busy — Chad was always gone fighting fires, while Alexandra was pursuing her doctorate in psychology. Our time together was precious, and no matter how busy life became, we always found our way back to the beach.

But as summer faded and winter approached, we realized neither of us was ready to let it go. We wanted to chase the endless summer — a surfer's dream. So we packed our bags and headed halfway around the world to Australia for our first surf trip together. We explored new coastlines, discovered new surf breaks, and immersed ourselves in the Australian surf culture. Every new beach brought another adventure, and every day reminded us how lucky we are to share this life together.

Toward the end of our trip, the weather had other plans. With Fiji only a few hours away, Alexandra mentioned the idea of heading there instead. Within a day, we'd figured out the logistics, packed our bags, and set off on an unexpected adventure.

Fiji turned out to be pure magic. The waves, the sunshine, the food, and most of all, the people made it one of the most unforgettable experiences of our lives. We were welcomed with warmth that reminded us how beautiful it is to connect with people and cultures so different from our own.

Since then, we've continued chasing waves and collecting memories across Australia, Fiji, Hawaii and beyond — with many more destinations still waiting for us.

And just like it all began, the ocean was there for one of our most unforgettable moments. On our second anniversary, Chad proposed to Alexandra on the beach, in the exact place they both learned how to surf. As if the day couldn't get any better, we celebrated the way that felt most natural to us — by paddling out and riding waves into the sunset.

From the first waves we shared at San Onofre to the unforgettable evening on the beach, the ocean will always be in our story. It is where we found each other and where we've made some of our favorite memories with surfing, laughing, and falling in love.

Now our next adventure brings us to Hawaii, where we will gather with our favorite people to celebrate the beginning of our greatest journey yet. Here's to a lifetime of chasing waves, discovering new horizons, and choosing each other — wherever the tide takes us.
